What is Direct Primary Care?
Direct Primary Care is a monthly membership service that connects you to a primary care provider who can care for you without the restrictions of an insurance-based model. By foregoing the bureaucracy of the traditional American healthcare system you and your doctor can create more effective and meaningful connections. Most importantly, by removing the costs associated with seeing a doctor such as co-pays you can access the care you need when you need it and stay on top of preventative screenings.
It’s Not Catastrophic Insurance.
Direct Primary Care is not major medical coverage and does not provide insurance for catastrophic health events. However, it does cover the majority of regular, expected healthcare needs.
What is Euphora Health?
Euphora Health is a Direct Primary Care practice because we believe that you should receive high-quality healthcare from a staff of medical professionals who know you personally and who care for your well-being. Your doctor cares for a smaller population of patients than a traditional doctor and offers services that are typically reserved for an urgent care or specialist office without marking them up. Since your doctor is accessible by text, phone, and video conference, more consistent follow-up can lead to improved health outcomes and reduce specialist and ER visits for members.
As a patient, you will enjoy a close patient-doctor relationship with no co-pays or extra financial burden. We will also help guide you through the traditional healthcare system for services that are not available through our clinic. We are advocates for your health – both with you and for you!
Clinical Services Included Through Euphora Health’s Direct Primary Care
Wellness Visits
Longer, unrushed appointments allow you to tell your story (uninterrupted) and for your doctor to explain your treatment plan.
We work closely with you to manage chronic diseases such as diabetes, high blood pressure, hypothyroidism, sleep apnea, arthritis, allergies, asthma, GERD/reflux and more.
We also perform well child visits and all school/camp/sports physicals are included at no extra cost.
Mental Health Care
We commonly provide care for depression, anxiety, stable bipolar disorder, and previously diagnosed ADHD/ADD.
We can also refer you to mental health counselors for the low cash price of $67 per visit.
Acute/Urgent Visits
Same day or next-day visits (M-F) are available for acute issues after your initial consultation.
Your doctor is available to treat coughs, sore throats, colds, flu, bladder infections/UTIs, joint pain, headaches, abdominal pain, skin infections, abscesses/boils, ear infections, lacerations, burns, bites and more!
Procedures
Procedures such as EKGs, ear wax removals, abscess drainage, ingrown toenail removals, joint injections (+ $ for medicine), lesion/mole removals, stiches and staples are included in your membership at no extra cost.
Your doctor can splint most sprains or minor fractures in the office.
Lab Tests
Many in-house tests including pregnancy, mono, strep, and urinalysis tests are available at no additional cost.
We have negotiated low cash-pay prices for outside lab tests, imaging, and pathology. Many routine send-out lab tests are only $5!
We can perform labs draws in our office.
Female Care
In addition to pap smears we can perform colposcopies to follow up on abnormal pap results.
Providers can address common issues of vaginal discharge, bleeding, or pelvic pain as well as STI’s.
Care Coordination
We follow up with specialists to track changes to your treatment plan and to minimize test duplication.
We can help you save money by guiding you toward low-cost imaging and outside clinic procedures.
Hospital follow up is provided as well.
Prescriptions
We default to prescribing low-cost medications and can usually find chronic medications at relatively low costs. We also use coupon-based apps that can help you find the lowest-cost medications.
Easy Access to Care
We use a secure app that allows for patient-physician texting. You can even text your doctor outside of our business hours when emergencies happen and you can’t wait for the next business day!
Telemedicine is available when appropriate. Our secure app allows for face-to-face visits over your telephone.
How to Register for Euphora Health Through Your Employer
By enrolling for a Euphora Health membership through your employer you are able to get the best price available for this service. Ask your manager or HR representative for details on pricing for you and your family. At most, it should cost $35/month for your membership and it may cost less!
There are no health checks to qualify for membership.
What to Expect on Day 1
The day your membership begins with Euphora Health you will receive a text to download our secure messaging phone app. This is where you will fill out your health history form and schedule your initial consultation phone call with your doctor. The initial consultation phone call is important to formally establish care with our clinic. You will get to share your health history in detail with your doctor and they will ask you questions to get to know you and your health personally so they can work to get you up to date on any routine wellness needs and are as prepared as possible to care for you in the event of future injury or illness.
If you are unable to use our phone app we are still able to take care of you. Please respond to our welcome text or call our office when your membership starts so our medical assistants can get you established with our clinic so you can also make the most of your health benefits.
